2006 Buster Haas Winner

TAPME proudly awards the Buster Haas Minority Internship and Scholarship annually, providing valuable newsroom experience to a student journalist as well as a scholarship.

The award is named after a longtime editor at The Dallas Morning News, a pioneer in the recruitment of minority journalists.The Haas program is designed to increase the number of minorities working in Texas newspapers and to expose student journalists to the challenges of community journalism.
